Let me introduce myself...
I'm Libby, a physio, pilates instrcutor and PhD student. I've set up Ferne Physio as a truely believe that there's a way of helping everyone!
To me, a 'no' or 'you can't' isn't really on the cards.
With physio, sports massage and pilates, we can work together to help reduce pain, get moving freely and feel confident in your own body!
My Story
At 21, I sat in front of a consultant who told me I would never play hockey again. I know I'm definetly not alone in this experience, but to me the question is WHY?
I created Ferne Physio to give people confidence back in their bodies, to believe they can move and perform and do what they want to do!
4 knee surgeries and 2 years of physiotherapy taught me things that you don't and can't learn in your physio training or even working on the job...I can relate. It is so draining being in pain and feeling like you genuinely don't know what to do to help yourself and that's where I can truely relate.
This experience has driven me to create a caring and understanding business because I really do care about people and reliving their pain.
Outside of my physiotherapy clinic, I am a full time PhD student at Leeds Beckett University. I am researching how to prevent injuries in adolescents - a true passion of mine and a topic that I try to bring into my physiotherapy practice.
